On January 2004, N.E.T. Sports Gazette founder and publisher R.K. "Bob" Speights named longtime N.E.T. columnist Aaron S. Lee as Web site’s new managing editor.

Lee, a former managing editor of the nation’s top football-coaching magazine - American Football Monthly, is a renowned sports writer, author and football industry insider. He has enjoyed a successful journalism career that has spanned eight years, including his first opportunity as a freelance sports writer in New Orleans back in 1996.

A native of Minden, La., Lee has successfully worked as sports editor for Wyoming’s Torrington Telegram and the Lingle Guide and as a sports editor for the Marshall News Messenger in Marshall, Texas. He has covered high school, college and professional football for publications such as the Longview News Journal, Tyler Morning Telegraph, Shreveport Times, The Palm Beach Post and Football Digest.

Lee, a frequent regional and national radio sports talk guest, has authored two books for TowleHouse Publishing, "Quotable Eddie Robinson" and "Quotable Don Shula." He is also working with some of the nation’s top football coaches on autobiographies and coaching clinics.

Lee is a member of the Football Writers Association of America, Pro Football Writers Association, Arena Football Writers Association, Texas Sports Writers Association, Louisiana Sports Writers Association, Florida Sports Writers Association, Independence Bowl Foundation, Sugar Bowl Quarterback Club and Liberty Bowl Foundation. He is a former member of the Associated Press Sports Editors.
